Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2026

Shonaton Foundation ("we", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how donations and membership fees work, and how your member profile is protected. 1. Data we collect When you apply to the Free-Work Program, we collect your name, email, phone (optional), city, country, skill area, preferred platform, portfolio link, social links and a short bio. We also store basic technical data such as pages visited and the language you choose, to improve the site. If you donate or pay a membership fee, we store your name, email, phone (optional), amount, currency, payment method and the transaction reference you submit. We do this only to verify the payment and issue a receipt. 2. How we use it Your application data is used only to review your application, contact you and manage your membership. Donation records are used only to verify payments, issue receipts and publish transparent totals. We never sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing. 3. Donations and membership fees Shonaton is a non-profit. Donations and membership fees are used first for platform and server costs (hosting, domain, SSL, email, storage, security); remaining funds support charity and community projects (for example, education, health and community support). Publicly shared work and costs appear on the Transparency page. Every donation is verified manually by our team: you send money to the official account listed on the donate page, then submit the transaction reference. We never ask for your PIN, OTP, password, card number or crypto private key, and we never store them. Payment is made directly to the official account; the admin verifies the reference. If a membership fee applies, the admin marks your fee as Paid or Free after verification. 4. Cookies and advertising The site uses a session cookie and a language cookie. If the site owner enables Google AdSense, Google may use cookies to serve ads; you can opt out at Google Ads Settings (google.com/settings/ads). The site does not sell data or show tracking ads by default. 5. Member profiles and AI If you join the Free-Work Program you receive a private member ID. Your member page shows your profile, social links and application details. Member pages are marked noindex, nofollow, noarchive and noimageindex, are disallowed in robots.txt, and require your member ID to open. The member ID is random and unguessable, and access is rate-limited. We do not use member profile data to train AI models, and we do not permit AI crawlers to access member pages. Do not share your member ID with anyone. 6. Data storage and retention Application, membership and donation records are stored on our own servers (SQLite or MySQL). We keep them for accounting, transparency and support. You can ask us to view, correct or delete your data anytime by emailing [email protected]. 7. Your rights You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, and to ask how it is used. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 2 working days. 8. External links Our pages may link to external sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. 9. Contact Questions about this policy? Email [email protected] and we reply within 2 working days.
